To find out about everyday life in the region from prehistoric times to the period of invasions, visit the History Museum. Housed in the centre of the Citadel overlooking Belfort, the museum has something for everyone with its historical, archaeological, and ethnographical collections. The museum is also home to the Espace Bartholdi, six rooms of museum space dedicated in permanent recognition of Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi by the town of Belfort. This area displays a collection of sculptures, drawings, engravings and old photographs.
